2008 – Diploma Thesis: "The Wired Painter"

In the period from the end of 2008, the Dr. Robert Murjahn Institute supported the diploma thesis of Mr. Michael Ziegler. The core of the work was force measurements during the application of interior paints with the painter's roller. This test procedure, known as the "wired painter", allowed valuable conclusions to be drawn about the interrelationships in the application of interior paints.

Accompanying special tests were used to investigate the influences of ambient conditions, formulation and substrate on the application of paint, to correlate their interactions with each other and to examine the applicability of the procedure.

The "Wired Painter" was well received by the expert public and has since been available at the RMI as a test method.
